At the intersection of many sandy roads in Haarlemmermeer (a reclaimed polder), many horse taverns were located in earlier times. They were the places where horses and workers could eat and drink after working on the land.
Around the year 1875 at the corner of the Sloterweg/Schipholweg (then the Spaarndammerweg) Café de Herbergh was established.
In the course of time a lot has changed at this location. The previous owners have realized an extra floor and converted the ballroom into 9 extra hotel rooms.
The hotel now has: 24 beautiful hotel rooms, a luxury hotel apartment for 5 or 6 persons, a comfortable lounge, a cozy bar, a Brasserie called La Bouche with a sunny and nice terrace.
